Rules and Regulations Oval Track racing.

Boat class: The boats will have 2 basic styles, mono and hydro. Mono hulls are boats with one wetted surface.
Ex: flat bottom, V bottom. Hydro hulls are boats that have 2 or more wetted surfaces. Ex: Tunnel, 3 or 4 point hydros, outrigger,
canards and stepped hulls. The 2 basic hulls will be divided into 2 classes, water rudder and air rudder, boats. The race
class will be divided by engine size and fuel burned. Ex. Gasoline or Nitro fuel. A
class shall consist of at least four (4) Boats. In the event that there are not enough boats in a specific class, 2 similar
classes will be combined to make a full class. (Example): if either class has less than the minimum required boat field.
4 Boat fields will not run a B-Side, must be 6 boat fields in order to run a B-Side.

Engine Classes: Nitro engines. 1/2A = .049 - .09 Class A = .10 - .60 nitro Class
B = .61 - .90 nitro Class C = .91 - 2.2 nitro Gassers G1 = up to 25cc G2 = 26cc - 40cc G3 = 41cc - 86cc

Open Class, the open
class will be for any style or class of rc airboat, hydros and monos. Tuned pipes and Mufflers. Tuned pipes are legal to run on any engine. Engines with excessive noise, may require a muffler. This will be the
decision of the Contest Director (CD) hosting the race. Size limit of the hull. The maximum hull length will
be 50". The maximum over all length will be 56 inches including rudder/rudders and hardware. No driveline or propeller
may extend outside of the propeller cage. Steering hardware and rudder/rudders may extend maximum 6 inches beyond the hull.
The maximum weight of the complete race ready boat without fuel shall not exceed 35 pounds. The boat must have the engine/engines
connected to an engine stand/mount that is capable of securely holding the engine/engines in place while propelling the boat
forward. Inspection of hull and controls.
All boats in any M.AB.A race/meet are subject to inspection. Any boat that may impose a safety hazard will
not be allowed to race. While during any race, if a boat becomes out of control, that boat will not be allowed to race anymore
races until it is proven controllable. Worn or damage propellers will not be allowed. Engines missing mounting bolts will
not be allowed. Boats with propellers that are not secured correctly will not be allowed. Wood propellers will not be allowed.
Propellers designed for electric motors will not be allowed on nitro or gasoline powered engines.

The “M” rodeo 3 lap timed
race. The race is started from the right of the start/finish line. Starting from the right of the start/finish
line, driving right to left. The stop watch/timer starts when your boat crosses the start/finish line. To complete a lap,
you must drive your boat around the buoys as shown on the above drawing. Passing bouy 1 completes lap. After completing 3
laps, the driver must make 1 lap around buoys 1,2,3-4,5,6 time then stops after crossing of the start/finish line. Each buoy
that is hit, 5 seconds added to overall time. Each buoy cut, 10 seconds added to overall time. Uncompleted Lap/Laps, 90 seconds
added to oveall time, for each remaining lap. Restarts are allowed before your boat passes buoy 1. Classes: M.AB.A classed
boats. Classes are separated by air rudder and water rudder.
Oval Track Race Rules. The race will be 10 laps, starting from a dead stop or mill starts. Once the race has started, you can
only restart within the first 50' of the race. If the boat is within reaching distance, a pole with a hook can be used-(max
length of the pole is 20') If your boat dies after the first 50' you will be given points for a start no finish.
Once you have completed 10 laps, you must then make another lap then return to the pits/starting area. Cutting the track will
not be allowed, unless the CD tells you that it is ok to cut the track to come in. Points System
1st = +400 points 2nd = +300 points 3rd
= +200 points 4th = +150 points Start without a finish = +50 points
and +10 points for each lap completed Buoy cuts = minus 25 points per buoy cut.
